Resort or Ski Area: Cannon
Conditions:
Packed Powder, Chopped up Powder, Some icy spots

Trip Report:

Nice soft snow on natural trails, but not all that much of it. They do a good job with trail maintenance as I didn't hit much of anything despite the thin cover. Got my board wet in a stream crossing and it flash froze.. felt pretty stupid for that one. Had to scape and melt off the ice to get any glide.

Groomed/Man made trails got a bit scraped off but not bad, some decent snow in sections and trail edges. Didn't sample it all tho since I was liking the natural stuff.. Gets dark so early this time of year, 3-4 pm was flat light. Short day since I started about 12:45..

Nice report. I was there today also. I think I saw you (or someone with the same problem) at the bottom of the Peabody lift scraping ice of the base of your board.

Conditions were more or less the same as yesterday...

Cannon was pretty sweet today too! Avalanche and Paulie's Folly we lapped quite a few times as well as Banshee area. Natural snow coverage was the best, only scraped here and there no real damage. Great first day at Cannon this season!
