Well I thought I should get my butt to Cannon in case it didn't make the weekend.Glad I did.We have taken a huge hit as has every ski area has.Zoomer/front 5 has the best skiing.Avalanche has full coverage except at the waterbar near the top has a small choke point.Zoomer was skiable and totally connectable with big patches of bare ground.Rocket and Garys are fully connected all the way with about a 1/4 of the trails bare on skiers right. The middle mountain is taking a it hard.Lower Gremlin had the best coverage along with Middle Ravine.Big brown areas all over. The top is down to 3 with Profile still connected pretty good between the grass areas.Same with Skylite.I didn't ski Tramway so can't report. All that said it looks like we will make through this weekend with the pond skimming event.I would be very surprized if they stay open past that.

Yeah, I skied Cannon on 3/20 also. Probably saw you considering how few people where there. In addition to the trails you listed, we also skied Ravine and Taft (both closed). Ravine was closed for good reason with a small mandatory portage. Taft was connectable all the way, but not by most people's standards.

The conditions right now really showcase Cannon's new snowmaking power. Zero snow where there was no snowmaking, But still several feet where they cranked out.

Going back to a thread from early season: Threecy was calling Waterville's upper mountain snowmaking "money in the bank" and calling Cannon's lower mountain snowmaking a waste of money. At that point in the season the two areas had about the same amount of openings. Now High Country at WV is closed and Cannon's lower mountain will hold out for a while still.

Sorry CB.This guys mind isn't working so well.I skied Wednesday which was 3-21.Crazy warm with temps around 78 when I left at 2:30.

As a side note,I talked with a freind who said GM DeVivo told him Cannon will stay open till April 8 no matter what.I said "with no snow"?He says they don't want to give back the money for Bodefest scheduled that Saturday and that they would have some type of competition on snow or on dirt. We'll see.
