Cannon closed today (1/18)

Just got this email:

Due to heavy winds we will not be opening today. The weather tomorrow looks to be returning to normal with variable clouds and highs around 32 degrees. Winter will be back.

NH Residents day comes up on Wednesday, when residents can show a license or ID and ski for just $20. Remember that a ticket for the 2 lifts and 8 trails in the Brookside area is always just $25.

Next Saturday evening, the Animated String Section will be playing the evening away at Peabody. They will start around 8 and play till midnight. Tickets are $10 at the door.
If you’ve never seen this great band, you should definitely put it on your list.

No, not really. It was my way of whining about the weather. FWIW, I should be able to hit Sunapee Friday. Spring conditions I think.

most school systems up here have closed due to bad driving conditions. looks like icy roads may be a problem. i think schools may be slightly cautious due to school bus accidents during the last icing event when many school systems did not close. i am hoping the roadways are not icy so i can get to work!

Our local ski area Titus Mtn is also closed due to High Winds -

all regional schools are delayed 2hrs. It's raining like the Equatorial Rain Forest here in the St Lawrence river valley :angry:

Montage is closed today and Camelback has no night skiing. Camelback's snow report had 17 trails open out of 33, they were 100% open last friday. I wonder how much snow they lost?

I will be up in the poconos tomorrow, I will take a quick look at it when I drive by on I-80.

I don't know if its worse austin... I watched the news and it wasn't that bad... Plus the power was out at Cannon most of the day, just another reason for them to stay closed

when they showed zoomer it looked a lot better than those pics. But everything around the hsq looked like there were more bare spots. Probably not that much worse though. Still horible though :angry:

Am I the only one who thinks that there may be wisdom in running day-by-day off-season lift pass rates till things shape up a bit would be a bad idea?
