In the midst of a rather big storm. Sitting in the house all evening watching it pile up and knowing damn well that my local hill will be groomed flat tomorrow AM. Decided to take matters into my own hands and do a nighttime run. The target was an old radio tower access path up a shoulder of Reesers Summit. Total vertical - roughly 300 feet, not too impressive, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
The snow was piling up at the house
No skins or sled, just a boot pack up in knee deep snow
The ride down was good, not great....the trail is quite narrow and not as conducive to floaty carves as it looked on bing.com birds eye images.
On the way out, my tracks were all but covered up
A 2 hour round trip from the house on foot and board. Sadly, not action shots as it was just me. As I type, it continues to nuke outside. Currently 16" and counting. Cannot wait to wake up tomorrow for an updated measurement.
Parting shot is Rocky in the snow
