Wow. That’s two gondola failures in a few years for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. The other at Mont Sainte Anne.

Very lucky for the passengers it happened leaving the terminal. If that happens in the alpine area along the ridge it would not have been as good of an outcome. Better yet, it could’ve been in the bear sanctuary where their pet Grizzly should be waking up pretty soon if not already.

so the flying bear lift was inspected and found good to go, is that what we're s'posed to believe? some will I guess.

Except that they had to shut it down for almost 2 hours on it's first day back in service....
Hmmmmm
When was that? We didn't have any interruptions in the race program between 7:45 and 2:30 pm or so; while I spent a good chunk of that time standing on the side of the hill, I'm pretty sure we would've had racers missing starts if that happened during the race.
