Or fly into Calgary and rent a car...

It's a big hike from Calgary to Revelstoke. I want to say about 5.5 hours to Revelstoke and 4 to Kicking Horse. You also have to account for the ridiculous fee you have to pay to just pass through Banff. If you go that route, make sure your insurance overs you for windshield repairs outside the US. Alberta takes the term "rock salt" literally. You will be amazed at how many cracked windshields you see.

If I were to go back to Revelstoke/Kicking Horse I might strongly consider flying into Kelowna just to not have to deal with that headache again.

You're not kidding about the windshields. I've purchased about 3 or 4 repair kits up there, those things actually do a pretty good job.

The mountain collective pass is right up your alley.

I of course reccomend JHole. If terrain parks arent your thing you'll be hard pressed to beat Jackson anywhere else in the country.

February would be best, March can be a crapshoot snow conditions wise. Some years its epic, others are sun cooked mank.

Updates! We just found an offer for a time share with a price we can't beat. It's in Frisco, CO near cooper mountain. Does anyone have any information on this area. We would be close to Cooper Mountain, Vail, and Breckenridge. Thinking to book it right now. Let me know your thoughts.

Looking to book this as ASAP, because the offer may not last long. Please advise about this.

I mentioned Frisco in my earlier post. We really liked Frisco and would definitely stay there again. Main St. is lined with Victorian Buildings, numerous restaurants, pubs, and shops. About 6-miles to Copper with convenient bus connections. Probably 9 miles to Breck with connections on the Summit Stage that, depending on where the condo would be located in Frisco, are generally less convenient than connections to Copper. We drove to Breck and paid to park in the lot by near the town gondola. Probably 15 miles to Keystone with still less convenient bus connections. We found free parking over near Mountain House West, not sure if it's still there. Arapahoe Basin is a few more miles past Keystone. Vail is probably .5 hours West over the Vail pass. The Vail pass can be interesting if the weather is bad. There's a parking garage in Vail that I think is about $25 a day. I think there is some free parking but I think it's pretty limited and couldn't begin to tell you where to find it. I'd say go for it and have a great trip.

We just booked the condo in Frisco, Colorado. Will be going to Breckenridge, Vail, and Cooper Mountain throughout the week. Going for 7 nights. Flying into Denver and renting a car for the week. We just got to hope for some snow now.

Go to ABasin early in the week... Because if you go the last day and you can't go back.... You'll be pissed at yourself...

ABasin is my favorite summit co joint...

+1000 Also if you wear your self out at Vail or copper, you will be pissed once you get to the Basin. It doesn't have the "frills" of Breck or Vail but the skiing/Riding is MUCH MUCH Better. you will not be dissapointed, plus where else can you get a bacon bloody mary!

Your day ticket from Vail/Breck may also be good for some night skiing at Keystone, it was a couple years ago. So unless you're lazy you'll take advantage of that. :)

when i think out west i think Utah vs. CO.

in past i've found airfare to CO cheaper but skiing/lodging more expensive.

i'd give Breckenridge a look. great town at foot of mountain for fun stuff to do. you can take a bus up to Abasin for a change of scenery. i'd prefer March over Feb but if Feb was cheaper you won't be disappointed with either option.

Agree ive been looking at airfares for SLC from Tampa the last week, a week ago it was 267 roundtrip over the weekend 317 and somehow now its 578 i dont get airlines at all, in anycase the airfares to denver always seem to be about 300 from here and nonstop, just gotta figure out the 2hour commute after that
