While we all know how unfortunate this ski season has been thus far due to mother nature, I did purchase a triple play card to use for 3 days at Mtn Creek when it is 100% open. I already received word from creek that pipeline will not be opening this year due to construction, which is a shame. Therefore, I've been waiting on Devil's Bit and Straightaway to open so I can at least lap Straightaway, Zero G, and Devil's Bit all day for 3 days. However, although I have been told that both Straightaway and Devil's Bit have had enough snow to open (at least at some point this season) by mountain creek skiers, but yet they still remain closed.

Does anyone have any idea what Creek plans on doing with these 2 trails? Apparently, Straightaway could have been opened weeks ago, with several piles of snow lining the trail. Devil's Bit reportedly had a fair amount of snow a few weeks back. I have attempted to contact creek several times but have not received any replies from them. Anyone have the inside scoop? I'm in fear that if I continue to wait, I'll miss my chance to use my triple play at all.

Welcome to the 2011-2012 NE ski season!

If they do open Devil's Bit & Straightaway the trails will be spring groomed with bare patches. I think the mounds are keeping the bare patch prone regions cold so drainage doesn't expose bottom merging trails (Doe Run for Devil's bit etc )

Now...back to spring tuning my MTB bike...:fangun:.
