What surprises me is how few places are closed given the deluges we have had this month. In the last two years, it seems weather-wise like we by bypassed March and went right to April...

Next to rain threads, this is always the most depressing thread of the season.

The Berkshire areas are closing up or have closed.
Black NH can't make up their mind when they are closing.

Mount Snow is closing down the Sunbrook/Bear Trap part of the mountain after this Sunday. Still operating on The North Face/Main Mountain and Carinthia though after that.

My guess would be that Mount Snow will scale back to Carinthia only after the weekend of April 10/11, with likely weekend only operation then until 1 of the 2 following things happen: a) either total melt out or b) not enough people show up to cover the costs - Most likely it will be the 1st option that will cause the end of the season at Mount Snow sometime in late April

It's not great PR to announce a date, and then rescind it. They probably figure that May 2 is the latest date they can be fairly confident about.
