Just read a nice article about Richmond, Vermont's own Cochran's Ski Area. Founded by engineer-athlete Mickey Cochran as a place for his kids and friends to ski, the area is now a non-profit organization that still operates on limited snowmaking and with a couple surface lifts. The recent weather woes have forced the board to begin a $400,000 campaign to install more snowmaking.

The article.

whoo hoo! keep it going! Cochran's is a GREAT feeder hill! I grew up skiing there after school, as did most of my classmates! It was a fun place to ski, even if it is a little small, but it's got a ton of charm!
