Hoping to try another run up to Killington on the 12th. Looks like a solid week for snowmaking with some snow showers for the weekend. It may warm up a bit early next week, but I don't buy many forecasts beyond 5 days this time of year. Anyway, let's hope this cold pattern sticks around...

Just checked weather.com which says even southern/central VT should stay in the 30s for high temps for the next 10 days - yippee.....!

Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow......

Please also hope that my Jeep starts during the single digit temps this week. Thanks.

Just to let you know weather.com stinks. Well atleast for me...they always are predicting about 5-10 degrees to high. I always look at local news stations' websites.

I like the maps linked from Dr. Weather's site for current conditions.

http://www.bestskiweather.com/newengland.html

For forecast, I don't like the local zip code stuff on weather.com, sometimes it's actually another city. The generalized long term forecasts are usually pretty good if you click the first link from their main page under where it says National Forecast, then scroll to the Northeast section.

for new england, check out NECN's weather forecase. for those of us that live without TV's (guess, it is possible), they post their weather forecasts to their website www.necn.com which is now linked into boston.com. best weather forecast for all of new england, and the weathermen are skiers too, so they occasionally will even mention which skia area will get the biggest dump.

Great sites, guys. Thanks.

Just dropped below freezing here in Northwest CT, and is slated to stay there through Thursday! Gonna be nice and chilly up North. Bring it on!

It only lasted about 10 minutes, but I just had near-whiteout conditions outside my windows. There's a nice coating of white down now, and I'm sure a number of accidents out on Rte 128!

Watertown, CT this morning - 20 degrees and a solid inch of snow. Accidents galore in Waterbury (including my wife who tapped a parked car). Took me two hours to get to New Haven this morning (normally takes about 45 minutes...)

But despite all that, it's cold and there's snow on the ground! 8)

I almost did. I called into work, but my boss beat me to it. I gotta wait for after December to get at my new vacation time for the year. :<

Snow is still falling, would be a killer day to be on the slopes.

That is a week out so I'm not too worried...yet.
