Who's your team??? I'm a HUGE Syracuse Orange fan!!! Where I live whenver the game is on everyone's watching. If we're not talking SU then we're talking Big East hoops in general. The Big East has done well in the past and is looking stronger than ever this year!!!

Nother CUSE fan here !

Sweeeeet!!!! You see that game last night??? Offensively we can play with anyone but man-o-man do we need help on D. If we ran back on D like we do on O I think things would just take care of themselves, but we don't. Regardless,SU is going to be fun to watch this year, young and full of talent. If coach B can get them playingf D we actually win a lot of games because we can score.

Yeah it seems to be an issue with lot of teams !

When i was young , fast , single and had hair i used to coach at the college level many moons ago and good D was stressed and kids could convert from the foul line with consistency

Now that side of the game seems to be a scarce commodity .

Coach B was a college roomie with one of my colleagues. He is a real deal --has no concern for media BS just works to his own drummer . hard to argue with success :D

You bring up a very valid point in that D doesn't seemed to be "preached" as it used to be. I played at the college level (NAIA in the 80's) so I full understand where your coming from. But, then again the game is played at an entirely diff level than when I was playing. I have a few buddys that played d1 and they'll say the same thing.

We love our coach!!! As you've pointed out the proof is in hgis numbers--can't argue the math. Guess that's why they named the court after him.??? I bet you've heard some great stories having that connection.

Oh how I wish Andy Routins was in for this year---he is missed, but next year WOW!!

Yep Andy's got the good genes :D !!

Leo could PLAY the game . You are so right about todays game even @ D3/JC levels. Its way more "intuitive style " now rather than the more structured offense( giving away my age here) when i coached . In ways its better and in some ways --- well i guess that's what we talked about earlier .

Have fun .

Don't worry about giving away your age....I remeber running "set plays" as well.

You think Hopkins will stay at SU long enought to take over for coach B??? I really hope he does because I understand he's done an amazing job recruiting lately and think he'll be a great head coach. Just not sure if he'll hang in there long enough for B to retire.

Hopkins is a great recruiter and a boeheim clone in many ways ---he BLEEDS orange . He was a workman style player @SU and i believe will be a pretty fair tactician/BENCH coach

However you and i both know that if somebody comes along with the RIGHT numbers , he has to think about HIS future .

I certainly hope he stays --------BUT can't blame him if he gets impatient

I feel the same way you do, and think Hopkins will go soon only because he's ready to be head coach. He will be missed but I don't think anyone could/will hold it against him. I'm sure he has been approached already but like you say the $$$ hasn't been right just yet for him to leave SU. Bernie isn't going anywhere he and JB have been together way too long already for anything to happen to him.

Hit it right on the head---Greek Peak brat here---born and raised on that hill--been skiing there for 42 years now, in fact, I live right in Virgil. I do ski Lab a few times per year because one of my pals has stock in the joint and cxan get us free passes.
You near Gore??? i ski there and Whiteface several times throughout the season. Love both of them.

Ogdensburg---yikes--that's like the end of the planet up there:spin:

It is cool to have Greek right in the backyard. I've had a pass there so long I can't even imagine being without one. Free tix to Lab do make for a nice change every now and then.

Never have skied Bristol but I'm sure it has to be similar to all the othe CNY areas around here. You have some good spots up by you for sure!!!

Uconn---booooooooooo, and I really was begining to think that your a nice guy:razz:

BIGTIME great games between SU and the CON----really look forward to those contests.
Our OOC games are that great either but then again never really have been. It truly is all about whne the BIGEAST cranks up anyway. Pure excitement and the conference is really strong this year. Gonna be some awesome action for sure.

UVM season ticket holder here.....you 'Cuse fans probably don't like us too much LOL.
Tonight it's Vermont vs. Florida.....on Nesn.......this should be a good one. NOT! We have a good team, for our league, but I don't expect a close game tonight. You never know though.

Uconn /Cuse ----------------------------------great rivalry . Both Big time programs run with class and great coaching .

Nice folks @Uconn too , my son was recruited for indoor/outdoor track @ Uconn and met their athletic admin at the time . Although he ended up at another D1 Pharmacy program , we were treated very well . I've had several Uconn Pharmacy grads in various leadership/mgtworkshops i've taught for teh Pharma industry in teh past --Great school ------BUT hey i'm still a CUSE guy Gotagopee
