Hey, don't blame that quote on NY fans; FRITOLAYGUY is as New England as it gets. He's just pissed because he picked SD to win it all and he got shot down in the first game they played.

I'm a Giants fan, I'll root for the Jets, but since they're both out of it now my pick is the Pats to win it all. I stay local.

Jim i dont even think i picked a superbowl winner but if its not my team which is Denver who actually beat the Pats last year i just would like to see something different or someone new, Indy-NO would be a much better storyline than say ummm The Pats trying to make up 21yrs later of a 46-10 beatdown from the Bears. If i was a Pats fan your damn right id be into it and all about it, im just saying this from the viewpoint of being a fan of a team who is out of it. And Sikskier, why would u care who won 4 out of the last 7 superbowls, if the Pats win this year it will be 4 out of the last 6, get the facts straight man. All i know is this, the game between the Pats and Indy is gonna be better than the superbowl this year.

BoB says

Gotkowski will be a better kicker than vinateri in a few years. Too bad it's all about the $$...as far as the Saints go PULEEEZE....I just hope the officials call an even handed game.

Hows this storyline vinateri i believe missed 2 kicks in foxboro earlier this year even though Indy won.. The headline is gonna ready "Vinateri Beats Colts Again" except this time its gonna be him missing a kick to win the game , that would be amusing.

Prediction -

Pats 28, Colts 24. There will be a lot of scoring in this one, but the Pats know how to win the big one. The Colts will have to learn that against some other team some other year.

Colts win, Wow...

I can't believe how that game ended last night, with Brady throwing a pic in the last minute of the game and the odd the fact that :uzi: Manning came back from a 21-3 deficit. I think it all came un-done when Seymore got hurt, it seemed as though the Pats D just deflated when this happened.

On well, there's always next year, ( used to saying that for the Sox, but not the PATS!):puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

With all due respect to the Pats (I was actually rooting for them), I want Peyton to get his shot at greatness. He is arguably the best QB in the game right now and ranks up there with some of the best of all time. I think the guy deserves a shot to win the big one and prove that he is one of the greatest of all time.

PS - I'm a 49ers fan so don't blast me too hard...

roller coaster game for me. Got to give Peyton props for overcoming the deficit. But it also showed the Pats weakness; up the middle. The linebacker play was bad, they had a strong vet group mixed with young players. Time has a way of catching up with the vets and the reserves needed more experience. I hope they can address this in the offseason.

no whining

I'll not comment about the 'touching manning' call for 15 yards...
It was a good run, an exciting season.
GO BEARS !!!

Really?

How old are you?

Ok i can see how that would be missleading, yes the PATs were a terrible team and had owners who didn't care and a really Jaded past. Since Craft took over, the team has done a 180 in that respect, even will the tuna and Peta Carrol were coaches they where a good team. I guess that i have kind of forgotten what is was like back then, plus i was always more of a Red Sox fan then Patriots, followed the sox more closely.

By the way, i'm 32......

Well, I got both games wrong...Colts/Pats was an amazing game.

Just don't see the Bears beating the Colts, but I didn't see the Bears in the Super Bowl either. Won't be snowing in Miami.

I got 'em both wrong, too.

Belichick has no one to blame but himself. He knows he has the best football system in the NFL and it gets more performance out of more players than anyone else. But - he didn't replace enough of the key role players that left after last season (McGinest, Branch, Vinatieri, Chatham, Klecko, Givens, etc) and even Obi-Wan Belichick needs solid players to win. The Pats waaaaaay over-acheived and made it as far as their talent could go, but this year the Colts were a better team.

It kills me to say that, too........

I’m still in mourning.

Maybe Belichick and Pioli think that they have a great system and how can anyone contest that given that they won 3 sbs. I think it gets interesting on how they respond.

My concern is that they lost too many key players, mainly linebackers due to age; T Johnson and Mcginnest. And face it Willie has not been tearing it up in the league in the last two years. They have to find replacements for these guys along with Bruschi and Vrabel both getting a little bit older. Every team was attacking the middle, SD tried but couldn’t hold on to the ball while Indy did, that TE just dominated and left it soft for the RB to run up the middle. The problem is middle linebacker are like the QBs they need reps to get better. I hope they get Donny Edwards from SD, maybe Seau and draft some prospects in the early rounds, they might make it back next year.

I compare this to the Yanks/Sox, the Sox finally got rid of the demons in 2004 but that was only half the job, id still be hearing 1918 if they didnt go beat the Cardinals now wouldnt i? I feel that much like the redsox cardinals its all downhill for the Colts from here, they will be loose and beat the hell out of the bears..
