The shot of the slopes across the water lookes a lot like Wachusett.

What's SP like? It seems to have a lot in common, trail count, vet etc.

Wa's season pass give me 50% off the lift ticket @ SP, but if I'm driveng that distance...I'm looking for more skiing (bang for drive-distance-buck).

thanks for the pics, I was wondering how they were coming. Curious if people from Boston or Portland will be buying them. According to the latest market research shopping is more important to destination skiers than the skiing and there certainly is plenty of that in North Conway.

Not sure if it's worth a long trip from central Mass. but if you combine it into a weekend staying in Portland(45 min) it would be a fun time. I am not too fond of cities but Portland is an acception for me. The Old Port area is fun to walk around in and there are over 600 restaurants.

If I lived in Boston I would buy in Vermont or New Hampshire, but I guess other people might prefer PA.

600 in Portland - not quite. Maybe in all of Cumberland county, but certainly not in Portland.

That being said, I live in dowtown Portland and its a great place. While we don't have 600 restaurants, there are easily 60 good ones in town and a handful that would be considered among the best even if they were in NYC, Chicago or Vegas.

This what I have read in the Portland Press Herald and heard it on that local TV show "207" on numerous occasions. I am sure they are including South Portland, Cape E, Scarb, Falmouth(the Portland metropolitan area.

I really miss that independent movie place, The Movies.
