Anyone have any good places they have used for conversion of Super8 to DVD?

I am going through some bins in the house and I have about 65 3" rolls of Super8 tape from my dad I'd like to convert. I have converted MiniDV and VHS tapes before using Photobin and / or Scancafe, but they don't do Super8.

I was thinking maybe Costco?

What's the point of owning an internet forum if you can't embarrass your sister publicly?

I have to convert it first. But let's whet everyone's appetite... here's Ski Stef in an awesome pink one piece when she was around seven or eight, lol

PS: no idea who that guy is on the right.

The guy matches the 3 people to the left behind him, must of been a popular one piece!

When I looked at converting a similar number of 8mm rolls, it was pretty expensive. In researching it, the people that do it just use a home brew system where they have an 8mm projector, a screen, and a camcorder on a tripod. Once it's captured on the camcorder, they burn it to whatever format you want. If you own a working projector, you can do the same thing yourself.

Yeah, I may end up doing that. Got a couple quotes today, anywhere from $600 - $2000, $2000 being HD with an additional film cleaning. That's for 65 rolls, which is about 3.5 hrs of footage.

That's right. Like $600 an hour.
