Was the old Coopers cabin really run down??? I've never been there..
It was pretty shitty. Crap all over the place, graffiti...etc. Tis a shame...was a fun place to have a safety check. I'll forever be indebted to Andy for showing bringing me there the first time...and Violetta for patiently waiting.
too late now, but what about if the AT club just left it there, and built their new one. This way they wouldn't be responsible for it any more... Can we get it delcared a landmark?

I don't need a stinking cabin for a safety meeting..the woods are just fine..
If you leave now, you could get before and after pics.:razz:Is someone going to get pics of the place blowing up?
You don't understand, this was special. There were days I was there that there was a line outside. It was more than just a rest stop, it was the atmosphere.
So was there like a time limit? Waiting in line for a safety meeting..sheesh..that kills major vert..lol
i would hazzard a guess that the damage was done durring the days of cheep asc passes when you had so many people there. unfortunatly i never went there and probally wouldn't have because there would be other people there.
