Antisocial?

when im riding i prefer my meetings take place on the lift. so i don't get side tracked. that being said when stowe was home we built a number caves and snow bars around the mountain that saw some great sessions in the spring but the great thing is that we changed the locations every year so it kept the gapers to a min.

I like that idea, that's what I say we should do at Killington. FYI, was just kidding with the antisocial remark.

I remember one pot-smoking cave between Lord and Ridgeview..where lots of steezy sessions went down. Bridger bowl also had a nice smoking hut..but I prefer to have safety meetings in the thickest woods away from people and even in deep falling snow and strong winds..the tree cover provides lots of shelter from the storm..At Jackson Hole I once dropped my lighter in the snow which was no good..but I was able to buy a new one at the Village Cafe...

that was one of the smaller ones. we a had a 6 seater off the toll road that had sweet laid back seats. there was the cave off off chin clip that was so well hidden people would drop it thinking it was a cliff. we also built a pretty fresh bar out by taft that was great in spring. i droped my fire my last powder day at stowe

This is a really sad day.....................not that I ski Killington a lot. It was great to bring friends here for the first time.
I remember how appalled I was......................
It really was just another little piece of the Killington experience!
More and more of the great things in life are disappearing..............................

Today, May 12, 2008 -- a date which will live in infamy -- AMC blew up Cooper Lodge. A place that has long been used as a rest stop for the cold, the hungry, the tired adventurers that dared to explore the wilderness known as Killington, VT. May God have mercy on their souls.

And with this act have lost any chance of a donation from me. :smash:

come on. its not like the blew up the stone hut on mansfield. the thing looked like something on the AT in northern NJ. people, as can be plainly seen from the spray paint, did not respect the place. could you imagine somebody doing something like that to the stone hut or tafts. wilderness known as Killington. surely you jest. granted i zero good memories from kton.

coops was built in 1939. seems a little too historical to me to just blow up. They should have built a new one for the hikers to use and just left coops as is. If the roof was a liability they should have just taken it off, and left the rock foundation, jmho. I wonder how many people will get lost back there next year looking for coops?
