Does anyone else here ever take notice of what number chair you're on to see how much more quickly you get down the mountain than your chair? Example - I was at Gore Mountain yesterday on the High Peaks Chair, on Chair #97. When I got back down, I was on Chair #69. I figured that if I wanted to get down more quickly than my previous run, I would need to get on Chair #40 or lower for my next ride up (I got #37.) It's not an obsessive/compulsive disorder or anything like that - it's just something I do occasionally, and I was wondering if anyone else does it too. The few times I do it is when I know I can ski right onto the lifts, as a line of people would screw up my chances of getting a lower-numbered chair. And I also get screwed up when I'm on a low-numbered chair one time, and then a high-numbered chair without knowing what the highest number chair is. Once again, I only do this rarely, as I'd rather just enjoy skiing than remembering numbers and doing math, but it is something I've done here and there.
