Resort or Ski Area: Crotched Mountain Ski Area, Bennington, NH

Conditions: upper 20s to 30s, little to no wind, groomed PP.

Trip Report: Nice morning and early afternoon...trails were in great shape, groomed packed powder with plenty of cover. Didn't hit any of the woods but they looked somewhat skiable from the lifts. Only got a little scraped up in the afternoon when the hangover crowds arrived. Lifts were ski on up to the last run when we had a <1 minute line to the summit quad. Saw a line to the double as we were leaving.

One note: the gas fireplace that was added to the main lodge room seems to be more ambience than anything else. Not sure if it's the size of the space but you don't get much warmth from the fireplace. Would have been nice to put in a wood fireplace instead but I guess it's better than nothing...

Would take a dozen fireplaces to add Ambiance to that room. Far and away the most sterile, boring lodge I've ever been in. It's certainly functional, but it feels like a High School gymnasium.
