Ski Crotched today, afternoon ticket. snow was decent, sides of trails were powdery. Jake went off on his own and reported some fun in glades. He poached UFO for his last run of the day and said it was very good, more than enough snow to be open.

How's the new lift and trails from the summit?
new lift is nice tho it only goes ~50 yards higher?? access additional trails weren't great today. based on the map there were some glades to the looker's left but it was closed off today so we didn't check it out. having been there only 2 times before the extra vert wasn't really noticiable

Crotched is fully open now, and has great coverage on all trails. I was there last on Saturday 1/5. The Rocket adds just under 90' of vertical, increasing the total to 910. I've been there 4 times on weekends so far this season, and the longest wait for the quad was less than 2 minutes, most of the time there is no line. It's easy to make 10-11 runs per hour.

The also have great glades that are not on the map, but they currently need more snow to be really skiable.

I'm thinking of going to Crotched for the first time this Saturday as an alternative to doing my usual Wawa Sunday night. Last time Wawa was pretty bad so I'm looking for other options. Hopefully the weather holds out.

Kind of hard to be vague but...here are a few.

Between UFO and velocity, to the skier's left off of supernova, and to the skier's left off of upper moonwalk (very steep-needs good snow).

I was up there last Saturday and Sunday. Skied lots of glades and woods around the mountain, all of which need more cover (especially after the warm up this week) or you will be paying to fix skis.
