Cubicleland sucks. I had an office that I got due to space constraints, but we just took over the last 1/4 of our floor, so I've been moved to a cubicle in the new space becasue there arren't enough offices over here. I hate cubicles. Everyone's phones, everyone wandering around talking. It sucks.

Welcome to my world.

I never had an office but preivously I had a nice quiet out of the way cube. Now I'm in the middle of everything. Impossible to get anything done.

After being in a cube for over 7 years I finally got an office. Nothing special, inner office, not big at all. But being able to close my door and listened to some tunes is great. Some days I even flip open my spare laptop and let some ski porn run in the background. I don't think I could go back to a cube without a fight. ;-)

Ok I believe that this thread has made it a necessity for you all to post pics of your cubicle/office.

I could never work a job that required a cubicle, or a office. I need room to move around, need to be outside.

I work in a cube, I wish I had an office. Luckily my cube is pretty out of the way so it's not too noisy. I've been in a lot worse spots here so I can't complain too much..

IIRC we actually had a thread where people posted pics of their workspaces a couple of years ago. I can't find it though. I think DMC started it??

Some days, I actually miss my cubicle. It's been 10 months since I became a SAHM and this is harder work than I ever did in my cubicle days. I had a lot more peace and quiet there, too.

i have an office. or at least they tell me its an office. I think its a converted storage closet to be perfectly honest but at least it has a door.

oh and it basically overlooks the foyer/reception area and is right next to the 4 main printers and 2 main fax machines for our building. I love hearing all the nonsensical gossip the old bags spew every morning.

Well, I don't much care for it.
The President of the Co. just asked how I liked the new space. I told him it was nice, but I miss my door.

I was a cube farmer for a while. I certainly don't miss it. I get reminded how much I don't miss it every time we do a run to an office with a cube farm.

Me (Left) and my boss, Bill Lumburgh. He's asking me if I got the memo about the new coversheet for the TPS reports.

My cubical neighbor, Milton. Bill stole his red swingline stapler.

It's tough to work with all those distractions. When I worked for Merrill Lynch I had a cubicle and the same was true when I worked at various call centers. I'm fortunate to have my own office. It's more of a breezeway between a staircase and the bosses office but it's a large workspace..plus in the main office downstairs where the office manager works...there's another desk I work at when I need access to the files and Sales Manuals..Today I have the whole place to myself which means plenty of time for AlpineZone between answering phones, filing, and sitting with customers. I enjoy being out on the road and having my car be my office. Then I can listen to rap music and scope out all the fly honeys..holla

"Beano, I'm just going to have to ask you to go ahead and come in on Sunday as well. If you could do that for me, that would be great, thanks."

I had a boss at the EPAS (Evil Private Ambulance Service) that I worked for who talked just like Bill Lumburg.

Isn't Evil Private Ambulance Service kind of redundant?

Yes. In the industry we just refer to them as "EPS", but I figured I should be more specific here. Brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department, I'm still trying to find a graphics art type that could make a logo for the EPAS that would be the "Star of Cash" with the $ in the middle, instead of the snake. "Profits Before Patients"
