who cares? if she didn't like it, she could have just smacked him or told him to f off. seems like you can't have any fun without having to apologize for it later.
If your idea of fun is pinching a girl's butt, then you got what's coming to you. This is not behavior to condone.

I would say in many cases they (the girls) embrace it. They love the attention. As a woman, I appreciate the fact that men out there recognize the oversexualization of some things, and condemn it, however, remember there are many women out there who love it - they love being the center of attention. There's a reason it's still so prevalent.
Fair point. However, I would dispute that ALL women performing that role may feel that this is example is stepping beyond the line. Their are a lot of examples in history of models being abused and being forced to do things they didn't want to do. I reference to them not speaking out about it, sometimes they might fear for their livelihood. Plenty of examples out there. Some my want attention to the point of wanting physical contact. I suspect a lot probably would find this crossing the line. And since we don't know which women in the spotlight want the extra attention and which ones don't, seems safe to err on the side of caution.

Also I think we need to be weary of saying... "no problem". It seems to set a bad precedent. Some might say "well, it is just bike racing and podium girls." But when you put something in the spotlight and green light it as a society, there are many that take an unconscious queue, many that aren't self aware or properly adjusted, that say, that guy is cool and others say that is no big deal.

If the situation was reversed where it was a women's bike race podium with male models kissing the winner on the cheek and the 2nd place finisher was pinching the male model on the butt, would this even be an issue??

I don't think your example of flipping the sexes is valid, sorry. Maybe the percentage of men being upset with unwanted touching would be a HELL of a lot less than women, but I am sure some guys wouldn't appreciate it. Quite frankly, I wouldn't be too happy myself. I'm satisfied with my relationship, I'm not really up for ladies copping a feel of what I got. How about man on man or women on women, would that be an issue? Sure, it isn't appropriate.

Just for the record, when I first saw this picture I thought "oh, that Peter Sagan, what a rascal!" And then I gave it some thought and decided that despite my brief initial humor, it really isn't that funny. Just wanted to put that out there, I'm not being a prude, I gave it a chuckle at first sight.
