Need itinerary suggestions for Killington.
We will ski on a Sunday probably in March.
Dad - Skis decently (IMHO) up to moderate blacks - Old and fat
Son - 13 YO races in the Western MA Interclub circuit - frequently wins
Son - 11 YO races in the Western MA Interclub circuit - medals consistently
Trails we've skied and enjoyed include
Cloudspin, Skyward, Wilderness, Mountain Run, Upper/Lower Mac and Empire at Whiteface in Spring conditions
Liftline and National (excluding the first headwalls) at Stowe in Spring conditions
Rumor, Lies, Hawkey, Chatemac and ALL GLADES at Gore
Upper Exibition, Whitetail Cutter, Liftline at Jiminy
The last time I was at Killington was late 80's or early 90's. We would go in the late spring and park next to the skyship (Superstar?) quad. We would pull out lawn chairs and cook out and hoist a few and feed the lifties and share a lift ticket and just ski the crap out of that glacier they blew on that trail during the winter.
Anything you can suggest, from travel time from Albany, parking, lodge, lunch, lifts and trails would be most appreciated.
This will be their first time and I want to show them some 'good stuff' because dad is about to be passed by for their skiing friends - a good thing but kind of sad.
Thanks,
rob
