Yeah, you can probably do it for 20, but you won't get out of the lot for less than 29 after all the surcharges, fees and taxes are added.

You can't do it. No way. Not a chance. If GSS says it can't be done, then it can't be done. That guy knows his stuff. He knows a lot more than me, just ask him.

With Rams Head closing at Killington, I would favor Okemo. However, we've done the Killington thing thru rainy periods with 3 kids in tow. Stayed at the Mountain Green Hotel - between the small store that rented movies, the pool, the weight room, the game rooms, the volleyball/racquet ball court, we managed to keep everyone entertained. But be sure to stay in the main building; its worth the extra money to not have to leave the building for any of it.

In a nutshell... This spring SUCKS compared to usual. Nobody has had significant snowfall since the 3rd week in Feb. My buds were at Ktown last weekend, and Okemo on Mon/Tues, they we're very bummed out. They bailed and went to Sunday River (our home) and Sugarloaf for the rest of the week. MUCH BETTER CONDITIONS to be found there. Both still have solid spring conditions w/ 100+ trails open, and minimal bare spots.

Most NE resorts are closing 1-2 weeks ahead of last year.

CO, UT and MT have been hammered in the last 5 days. I'd opt for a late season SLC or Big Sky trip....

just my $.02

Yeah. This is the worst spring I can remember since I started skiing 40 years ago. Ma nature will make up for it next season. Can't have 2 of these in a row. Just can't happen.

Looking at the trip reports, everyone should be heading up to Sugarloaf.

Well, just wanted to thank you guys for your input. We had a fantastic trip!

We ended up driving up to Okemo, and spent about a week there, driving back friday just before Easter weekend.

We had almost continuous snow on and off all week - dusting to 1 inch, 2 inches later in the week, and it snowed lightly on us all day wednesday.

We occasionally had light rain monday (heck, there had to be SOME rain) but the rain was sleet / snow at the top. One of our 12 year olds somehow made it into the Okemo picture of the day that day, and it showed a pretty good snowfall at the time.

On the last day of our trip, thursday, we experienced true spring skiing, temperature in the high forties and warm sun on our faces. Amazing.

A local told me he thought southern Vermont had the best snow all week. Can't confirm it.

Hubby watched me board all week and decided "How hard could it be?" He rented a snowboard for the last 2 days. He is still limping around and complains that he cracked his head, but I'm pretty sure that's just an excuse for making me clean out the van by myself

One last thing ... as I was emptying out the van, I came across last year's surf wax. I take it as a sign to switch seasons and start planning our trip to the Outer Banks!

Thanks you guys for your help. I am overwhelmed by your generosity and good humor. Okay, maybe your jokes aren't really that good, but I have to grovel a bit since I am thanking you and all.

Till next snow day!!
