Anyone using this? I've tried it a few times in the new Suburban, but in my opinion the mileage is VERY bad, I can pretty much watch my gas gauge go down.
Thoughts?

Ethanol is a massive joke played on the public. Truly, one of the more retarded fuel options available.
Methanol fuel cells? Great idea. Ethanol in an internal combustion engine? Stupid.
E85 in flex fuel from corn is absolutely stupid.
E85+ only, from sugar cane, isn't that bad. You can boost the compression ratio significantly, offsetting the lower energy content somewhat, and you actually get more energy than is consumed in the production and distillation process.
Hemp bio-diesel. Oh wait....Very true. Let's use food crops to make fuel.
That's OK as long as I'm driving in front of the vehicle that's burning it...Hemp bio-diesel. Oh wait....![]()

And to make it a negative sum game, it makes a complete mess in off highway engines if they aren't run regularly: Lawn mowers, yard equipment, boat engines ect ect.
Just glad I don't have a boat, many guys with the older motors are hosed with the blended fuel.
Hmm, should've only dropped by 3-4%. Something else is responsible for the other 6-7%What a coincidence...ever since they have added 10% ethanol to gas, my mileage has dropped by....10%
Except the US sugar industry won't allow it, because they can't grow enough sugar cane to complete with Brazilian sources. So, you can't import Brazilian ethanol because it's a sugar product and would be hit with a tariff that makes it too expensive.
Brilliant, right?
+1
Never understood the logic of taking part of the food supply and using it as fuel, creating less supply and more demand for what's actually needed to feed this country!!
