Just wanted to take a moment to give some credit where credit is due. The crew at East Burke Sports in East Burke, VT took great care of both myself and my skis recently. One of my Legend 8000s blew out the sideway and split the core but thankfully Dynastar had a warranty replacement. The folks at East Burke Sports unscrewed my bindings and provided a box to ship the skis out to Utah at no charge. The service was a courtesy and I could have easily had the bindings mounted else where if I had so choose to. Obviously, I returned to East Burke Sports for the mount and dropped off my other skis for a tune up. The tune up skis were done one full day early in time for the Wednesday dump en route to Burke whereas the mounting skis were mounted and ready for pick up one day early when I left Burke Wednesday evening. The employees were very friendly, engaging, excited about the new snow, and fun to chat gear with. They earned me as a customer and I give them my full recommendation if you are in the area and in need of gear services. Previously, I have given my patronage to Sport Thoma in Lincoln, NH (who have done fantastic work and have great staff), but East Burke wins my service since they are closer to home.
So many times we put down bad service; and do so rather vocally and harshly. But we do not recognize great service nearly as much. Just human nature I guess. As I have previously done, I try to make it a point to give the thumbs up when I get service that I consider above and beyond, so cheers to EBS for a job well done.
