looks like justinwoods from sivtl posting, i think he reported in earlier with mrg action. and of course there was the bolton pics from before. also, lets not discount the shards of ice rink ice up at whiteface.

but let's face it, eastern skiing has not really begun yet.

Nice. I think Kbroderick posted some pics from what he was doing last week....more grass than snow, but hell, better than nothing.

What's to stop people from sliding on wet grass in August. It doesn't count to me unless you're floating. IMHO.

OK besides seeing someone getting turns in right now, I like the dog's curiosity of following the skier in red...Hes probably thinking "I hope those are his rock skis"

I'm shocked that some of you don't consider that skiing...especially riverc0il, he who connects small patches of snow between long stretches of rocks on the Gulf of Slides trail.

To me, that was beautiful...it brought tears of joy to my eyes.

I gotta agree with Jim here..

I think Steve is just jealous he didn't think of it first. ;)

Tears of laughter, here. But yeah, it's great -- if the northern VT nutjobs are sliding on frosty grass this week, the rest of us nutjobs only have a few more weeks to wait!

ha! hey, i was at least skiing on snow down that trail. i don't ski across grass, i walk and sidestep down the grass between the patches. that was definitely "skiing" of some sort since the dude was on skis... but it was hardly the beginning of the eastern ski season.
