Seen any yet? Sugarloaf had the obligatory picture of the first leaves changing color on their facebook page. Still pretty green around here although I think I see things slowly changing ... might just be my eternal optimism though :)

An oak along the road I drive to work is starting to change color, it's the first to change every year. It was 45 degrees at 6 AM according to the thermometer on my car yesterday morning here in the Southern Tier of NY. Weird Summer, the Susquehanna has been unusually high all Summer. I canoed yesterday, had to work my ass off in a few spots on my return trip upstream. Global warming?

It is early for my area, but I actually have already seen a few acorns in the bed of my truck. A lot of acorns usually makes for a hard winter.

Some trees are starting to turn up in northern NH as well. Not many just yet, but I've seen the first few leaves start to change over.

Not a physical sign but today my daughter came in my office with the Okemo trail map asking me 1) Where our condo (rental) is, and 2) how do we get to XYZ Trail. She proceeded to map out alternate routes to avoid liftlines to get there.
