Here you go. Only 106 days to skiing!
It's only August but thoughts of winter are never too far off for those of us who would rather be at Sugarloaf than just about anywhere else. In the grand scheme of things, winter, and more importantly, the skiing and riding season, is not that far off (106 days to be exact).
To get your season kicked off on the right foot (or should I say 'right ski'), Sugarloaf is proud to offer the All For One Pass for as little as $349. There are four All For One Passes ranging in price from $349 to $749 to choose from so you can select the option that works best for you. Not only do these passes offer the best prices for any big mountain pass in New England, every All For One pass is valid at all six American Skiing Company resorts in the east. For less than the price of most single mountain passes, you get access to six of the best resorts this side of the Rockies.
The Bronze pass is just $349 and is valid every day of the season with the exception of just 14 days. The Silver pass will keep you on the slopes on all but 10 days. Gold and Platinum passes are good every single day plus come with a host of additional features. One feature of the Platinum pass that will be of particular interest to Sugarloafers is FIRST TRACKS.
One day each weekend we will get Platinum pass holders out on the slopes up to an hour early to lay down the first tracks of day. We're going to let conditions and weather dictate exactly what lift or lifts we turn, but just imagine the skiing when you're the first one down your favorite trail after a fresh dump of new snow. I can almost hear the stories, immediately followed by sighs of regret from those who didn't jump at the chance to buy the Platinum pass. I speak from experience on this one. I get the chance to accompany patrol on an early cat ride every now and then and I can attest that some of my best days on skis have been those.
If I've got you thinking about it, it's not too late to act, even if you've already purchased a Gold, Silver, or Bronze All For One Pass. You can upgrade to the Platinum pass until August 30 or until the Platinum passes sell out, whichever comes first.
Since we're talking about our new All For One Pass products, this is probably a good time to address a couple of questions that many Sugarloafers may have. The one that comes to mind for most is overcrowding issues. What we learned last season with the discounted Sunday River/Attitash pass was that bed base is more closely correlated with the number of skiers on the slopes than the number of season's pass holders. Because of blackout dates, we also saw a shift in traffic patterns away from weekends and into the less crowded mid-week days. Based on these observations, we at Sugarloaf believe that while we do expect to have more passholders, they are not likely to all be here at once. As I mentioned, the blackout dates of the Bronze and Silver passes have been very carefully selected to best preserve the Sugarloaf experience we all know and love.
What we do hope happens is more casual skiers and riders become more active participants in the sport. This pass offers the typical day ticket skier the opportunity to ski all season long for less then the price of 6 or 7 day tickets. We want and need more casual skiers to embrace the skiing lifestyle. The future of the sport in general depends on growing this base.
With that said, we hope you all embrace the All For One Pass as one of the most exciting products ever offered in eastern skiing and riding. It's good for Sugarloaf, its sister resorts, and the sport as a whole.
For complete details on the All For One Passes, visit www.sugarloaf.com or www.allforonepass.com. When you purchase your pass, be sure to sign up for the exclusive All For One newsletter which will come to you several times this season with terrific offers and specials that only you, as a passholder, can take advantage of.
Don't forget the clock is ticking. The very low introductory prices are valid only until August 30, 2004 or when the passes sell out, whichever comes first, so you need to act fast.
Thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing you on the slopes this winter.
