If this thing gets worse while I'm at Whistler, could be handy for the flight home.

So, the JFK to Vancouver by Cathay is only about 1/3 full. I have the whole 4 seat middle row to myself! Should be able to lay down and catch some zzz’s.
I asked the stewardess if it’s just due to all the virus related cancellations or is this flight typically pretty empty. She said it’s usually pretty empty. They pick up the majority of passengers at Vancouver. That’s a good information for future reference if I go to Whistler again.
Wouldn’t the “recycled” air also recycles the virus around all over the plane?Airplanes are actually an unfriendly environment for viruses like the coronavirus. The air is so dry that the virus can’t survive. And the air is recycled every three to four minutes.
