footbeds and bootfitters

Going to the bootfitter and getting custom footbeds was one of the best things I ever did for my skiing. I bought my boots before I knew any better and they fit well in the shop but after skiing in them for a little bit of time my feet were killing me.

I think I first heard of bootfitters on this forum so I decided to go to Greg at Heino's in Jersey, He told me that the boots were too narrow for my feet and recommended custom footbeds. I got the footbeds and Greg blew out the boots, it was like night and day. I love my boots, they are so comfortable. Now I know that when it's time to buy new boots I'll see a good bootfitter when I buy them so I get the right boots for my feet.
