Last Friday my girlfriend, who happens to be incredibly cool, took me to go see "The Alps" at the Mugar Omni Theater in the Boston Science Museum.
Highly recommended. First of all, I love the Omni because it's Imax, except way better. And cheaper. $6.50 for a Friday night show (granted it was only an hour long movie).
"The Alps" is about an American mountaineer climber whose father died climbing the North face of the Eiger, and he returns to climb the same route.
AMAZING heli shots of the Alps in winter and the valleys in the summer. If you haven't seen this yet and you're close enough to hit up the Science Museum, go now! It'll get you out of the summer blues at least for an hour. I'm thinking of going back and seeing it again.
