Looks like they have had welding issues in the past. I'd contact customer service.

Thanks, that's good information. What I thought needed a weld was were the axle for the fly wheel. It was difficult to see how it was attached, but it appeared to be welded to the frame. After some fidgeting it turned out to have simply slid out of a slot holding it and I was able to get back into place. I'm sure the problem will surface again and I'll remember this thread should I have other issues with the machine pertaining to welded parts.
