What would be the easiest place to get to on Thursday considering roads: Catamount/Mohawk from 684 or Catskills from 87?

Bell is about 30 miles from Kingston exit on 87. Catamount is only about 10 miles off Taconic.. I think Catamont is kind of easy to get to if you have snow tires. Hunter route 23 a is curvy mountain road coming from south on 87. Platty isn't exactly easy about 20 miles pass Bell. Windham I haven't done by car so don't know. I think Hunter might be easier if you go pass the saugrties exit north and take next exit but I heard that but never did it. I think Catamont is the easiest drive wise.

I'm thinking Mountain Snow tomorrow since it's 2 for $50, but I'm debating going to Magic, or maybe even Cannon instead. I think Cannon is going to get hit hard by this storm, they are right in the middle of the track. It's going to get deep and all that steep terrain will be ripe for shredification.

Sorry, I can't help slipping into bro-talk when the skies are dumping white gold. Gonna get sooo pitted, wah-BAH!!!

Magic or cannon. Mountain snow will probably be the busiest of the 3, and will (IMO) track out quickest. Plus it just doesn't seem like a great powder day mountain.

Well, the north face is pretty fun on a pow day, but yeah, there are definitely better place. It's probably worth paying a little more and going to Magic. Cannon might be too far of a drive with the crappy roads.

I have to work tomorrow but I get my new skis back this afternoon.

I will ski a little tomorrow, and probably Sat Sun and I have Monday off (when my pass is valid at MRG).

Woo hoo! Just got a surprise night off from work tomorrow so Gunstock it is (free pass)! I had no expectation of skiing tomorrow. I'll be there psychotically early.

Berkshire East on Saturday. I was planning on going there before the storm. Great place after a big storm so I will hopefully luck out. Leaning towards Burke on Monday. If work is cancelled tomorrow I will squeeze Cannon in on Friday. God I hope work is cancelled.

Thinking Magic tomorrow, was also considering Berkshire East but looking at forecasts seems like Magic might be getting a few more inches of snow overnight and during the day tomorrow.

And I thought I was nuts! There are mountains with a whole bunch of snow on them in between Long Island and Vermont!
