Thank you, SkiDork (Who gave you that name?). One of the things that I loved about Sugarbush when I first started skiing here (and years before we owned it) were the great people at the Mountain and in the Valley. There is a passion about this place that is really infectious. What we now try to do, is to let the best in our teammates come out and continually remind all that the guest's interest come first and to always see the Resort and ourselves through the eyes of our skiiers and riders. No one can control the weather in this business, but we can control our attitude and the efforts we make to help everyone feel welcome!

Nice to hear that my son was doing his job, too!

I'd have to put my vote here to Whiteface. Every time I'm there, the lifties seem happy and very friendly. The ticket window staff has always been welcoming and the patrol/ski ambassador/ski instructors are always nice and chatty. And when my friend had to get roped out of the trees along the approach to excelsior (very very icy day...there were like 3 deaths in the east that day at other resorts), they were very helpful and not in the least condescending. And the tune shop folks are always very affordable and quick to put a nice edge and wax on the boards. Yeah, this sounds like an advertisement, but really, this is the only place I've skied in the East that has left such a positive impression on me when it comes to service and atmosphere.

They call the ambassadors Mt. Hosts, part of NSP, and they are a great bunch of people. Especially that guy named Skip, plus dude can totally rip it up, unreal skills. ;-)

Big surprise that I'm going to vote for the Bush, but that is one of the major reasons why I'm here. :daffy: I've found the crew at the bush to almost always be friendly. But I'm the kind of guy tht most ski area workers recognize as somone who is there to have a good time, and most treat me that way.

Before coming here, I spent 3 years skiing K-mart, where I decided everyone there was obnoxious and two years at Stowe. The first year at Stowewas quite good, but the summer between, they replaced the single and double with the quad, and I swear things changed immediately.

Also, after I had already started skiing here, I had a bronze pass here, and also had a pass at Smuggs. Smuggs is another place I consider quite friendly.

In Maine, I agree with the votes for Saddleback. Only been there twice, but each time I felt I was skiing with everyone who worked there, and they were happy to see me.

But for me, hard to beat the Mad River Valley. :D
