Sorry I haven't replied sooner Steve. Things have been hectic and I needed some time to sit back and enjoy the story at my own pace. I love it! Great story, quick read, flows real nice. Good job!

thanks! i think i addressed a few issues others have brought up in the story too. for example, the friend said go ahead, you know there aren't any friends on powder days! which is what others have said: a good friend knows this and won't resent you for it. seems like everyone is mostly in agreement though that if someone can keep up and most especially if you are going off the trail, there most definitely are friends on powder days! but if someone can't keep up, they should know they are holding people back and understand they might get left behind if the group is staying on safe slopes.

if you guys are holding out for a woman that will fill in your powder 8's though, i think you have too high of standards! so few women ski, and those that do rarely reach a high ability level. not saying chicks don't rip it... but i have very rarely seen women tearing it up. if you find one that can ski with ya and that can tolerate ya, you can only hope that woman reciprocates your interest!
