Going to Foxwoods

thinking about a trip to Foxwoods with wife and another couple (never been before) and trying to find affordable off-casino place to stay. Anyone have a suggestion?

want a place that has a shuttle to the casino
clean rooms
not a dive

Mohegan Sun (okay, some folks prefer Foxwoods, others Mohegan, I'm the later, and I think that if you're couple with a couple that hasn't been to either CT Casino before, that Mohegan has more of the WOW factor!)

Mohegan definitely has the WOW factor over Foxwoods...

Those 2 places you linked to are just a few miles down the same road to Foxwoods. Bellissimo Grande is more full service hotel, and the Hiltop is limited service and smaller. So iguess if you know what you want out of the where you are staying, that should help decide.

Neither are "dives" in my opinion... One just has more bells than the other.

I wouldn't rule out getting a really good rate right at the MGM... They are struggling with occupancy rates lately and have had some deals, like $99 a night.

Has lower table minimums, depending on when you go to foxwoods you may not be able to find a blackjack table with a minimum bet of less than 25 dollars.

Last time I was a Mohegan I made 1,800 dollars playing pai gow poker and blackjack, hard to diss a place after that :wink:
