Google Maps - Personal Weather Stations

Woah. Weather Underground has just integrated google's mapping system with their network of personal weather stations. It shows you summary weather data and forecast information when you click on a marker.

At a high level you only see a few PWS. zoom in for the rest. Very cool concept.

I like it. Do these weather stations belong to private citizens and the data is uploaded?

i know they are owned by individuals, don't know about uploading.
