[h=2]Smaller, lighter and 2X more powerful, again.
[/h]The Wi-Fi enabled HERO3: Black Edition is the most advanced GoPro, ever. No expense was spared during its development, resulting in a GoPro that is 30% smaller, 25% lighter and 2x more powerful than previous models. Wearable and gear mountable, waterproof to 197' (60m), capable of capturing ultra-wide 1440p 48fps, 1080p 60 fps and 720p 120 fps video and 12MP photos at a rate of 30 photos per second, the HERO3: Black Edition is the world's most versatile camera. Built-in Wi-Fi, GoPro App compatibility and the included Wi-Fi Remote (normally a separate $79.99 accessory) make the HERO3: Black Edition all the more versatile, still.

I got that email this morning. Seems pretty cool, but it also seems like they just came out with the Hero 2, now there's another new one? Maybe it's just me.

I just posted a news article about it --> http://www.alpinezone.com/news-and-...-frame-rates-and-included-wi-fi-connectivity/

I'm really, REALLY excited about the Black camera and will be getting one. 60FPS at 1080p is huge; and improved low light performance is also awesome. I was planning on picking up the wifi bacpac but with this being included, I don't really need it anymore.

I actually got asked to do some videography work for a couple people and I think the low light will help a lot.

It was over a year ... that's kind of the cycle now. Annual replacements. Plus with Contour and Sony just releasing their new cameras, GoPro had to step it up, and they definitely did with this new camera ... it blows away the others. Although I'm kinda surprised they didn't include GPS on it. That might be the advantage Contour has.

Has it been over a year? I guess I'm just out of touch.
