Gore Bike Wear Oxygen 2.0 Gore-Tex AS Jacket - Men's
You don't need an insulated jacket, but a long-sleeved jersey isn't quite going to cut it today. The Gore Bike Wear Oxygen 2.0 Gore-Tex SO Men's Jacket steps onto the scene to answer the aggravating question: what to wear when it's that just-in-between temperature outside. Improving on the original, the 2.0 is here to keep you riding comfortably through the cooler days this fall.
The Oxygen 2.0's big improvement this year is the introduction of a layer of the more advanced Gore-Tex fabric to replace the original's Windstopper material. Like Windstopper, Gore-Tex blocks harsh and cold wind, but adds in waterproof protection from the rain, too, while the fleece lining holds the heat your body is creating. The ventilation zippers along the jacket's forearms help in this regard, too, while also making it easier to get on and off. Still, as with all Gore fabrics, no matter how much warmth is retained, the jacket manages to be incredibly breathable and comfortable even if your ride's pace gets rigorous. The relaxed fit of the jacket won't inhibit your movement on the bike, but it's not annoyingly loose and flappy, either. Ultrasonic seams weld each piece together without the use of thread, eliminating chafing where traditional seams typically rub. A full-length zipper with a semi-locking slider and a snap-insert on the collar makes one-handed opening on the bike less of a circus trick.
While it doesn't boast pockets of its own, the 2.0 jacket now has long, tagged zippered ports on either side to make it easy to reach under and grab anything you need out of your jersey pockets. Reflective piping on the back and sleeves keep you visible during predawn and dusk rides. Reflective logos on the front and back add an extra measure of safety, too.
The Gore Bike Wear Oxygen 2.0 Gore-Tex SO Men's Jacket is available in five sizes, from Small to XX-Large, and in three color schemes: White/black, Red/black, and Neon Yellow/black.
Price: $179.99 (35% Off!)
