Great Blue Hill, MA

Date Hiked: 10/04

Trails(s) Hiked: Skyline Trail from 138 and around the summit

Total Distance: A bit under 2 miles

Difficulty: Easy

Conditions: Sunny, hazy, dry trails

Special Required Equipment: None

It's a pretty easy hike, but the views from the northern part of the summit are worth it. We had a heck of a time trying to cross 138 from the parking lot to the trailhead. Boston was easily visible, however the haze limited views in the other directions. It's a pretty quick hike, but notable since its just about the only 'peak' anywhere near Boston.

I was up there last thursday, someone needs to cut the top of that tree off... It is interupting my view, and its like twice as tall as all the other trees around it. I'm hankering for a big blue hill wind to knock that sucker over.
