GREEK PEAK MOUNTAIN RESORT EXPECTING A STRONG SKI SEASON
Skier’s picnic, Snowy Winter Forecast and Hope Lake Lodge Opening

Cortland, NY (19 OCT 09) – Greek Peak Mountain Resort is gearing up to make this ski season their best yet with the addition of Hope Lake Lodge, a 106 unit, four-star, hotel condo; Cascades Indoor Waterpark; a world-class spa, three new resort dining options on-site; and an even wider range of activities for skiers and non-skiers alike. To kick it all off, the family-friendly resort is hosting its largest ever Skier’s Picnic and Fall Festival on Oct. 17 (12-5pm).

Open to the public, the Annual Skier’s Picnic launches each ski season with family fun, all you can eat food and the last chance to buy a discounted season pass. Attendees can expect a wide range of activities such as chairlift rides, euro-bungee, face painting, bounce house and wood carving demonstrations. Admission price is $15.00 for adults (13 & up) and $12.00 for children. Details of the upcoming Skier’s Picnic can be by clicking here or by calling 800-955-2SKI.

“We have been serving skiers for more than 50 years and strive to enhance the experience every year,” says Al Kryger, President. “The new additions to Greek Peak Mountain Resort bring even more opportunities for families to spend quality recreational time and make lasting memories.”

A snowier than normal long-range winter forecast could also make it a record ski season. The typical annual snowfall is 122 plus inches and the ski area is open an average of 113 days, with night skiing available seven nights a week. With Hope Lake Lodge’s additional onsite accommodations, increased night skiing participation is expected.

Greek Peak Mountain Resort is also proud in sponsoring the Greek Peak Ski Club's Oct. 30th screening of Warren Miller's Dynasty at the Ithaca State Theater. DETAILS ON THE WARREN MILLER SHOW CAN BE FOUND HERE.

Greek Peak Mountain Resort, the largest Central New York ski resort was founded in 1958 and has remained at the leading edge of the ski industry with thirty-two trails, six aerial lifts, two surface lifts, beginners’ slope, three Terrain Parks, including a Progression Park. Yes, that entire building/complex is really going to be quite impressive when done. You never know you may use that H20 park more than you might think.........

We'll need to hook up for a few runs and beers when you're up.
