...with a one year old boy in tow...lots of auto-touring, and shorter hikes...the two big hiking days were 9/14 to laurel falls in the morning + then afternoon, falls which shall not be named via unmarked, non-NPS maintained trail shown to us by some friendly appalachian folk:
'big hike' #2 was alum cave bluffs...really fun hike...had the boy in a kelty carrier and he did really well, taking his naps in the carrier as we hiked...it rained the night before, and we started out under clouds and a wet canopy...as the day progressed, the sun came out...really fun conditions...the moisture really brought out the color of the rocks...this was our first time using trekking poles and we both really liked them
