Brodie and Bromley are worlds apart... Which one do you mean?

I have 2 young kids and Bromley is my home mountain becuase when it come to young children there ski school is far better then Stratton. I minght go back to "strapon" when the kids get older.

I'm going to assume you mean brodie and haystack and not bromley since its obviously not on the NELSAP list.

Brodie was much like every other berkshire area, with the exception of Berkshire East, in my opinion. Relatively flat, about 1,000 vert. old slow lifts. spotty snowmaking but some relatively interesting runs in a few places. Bar was excellent.

Haystack had more of a big mountain feel. When they expanded and opened up the witches area, it gave the place a few steep, albeit short, shots. the flat spot in the middle of the place was kind of a downer. All in all, i disagree with skiing for life in that there is no comparison. they were both small hills, older feel, and relatively uncrowded. and both offered less then hair raising skiing.

Only skied Brodie once. Never really got the place, although a lot of people liked it. Great views of Greylock.

Skied Haystack a lot back in college. It was always less crowded than Mount Snow and a few minutes closer. Lift tickets were $25 with a college ID. The Witches were fun and pretty challenging, but like 2knees said, pretty short, about 600 vertical. I remember once hiking up there from the top of the main mountain when the Witches Triple was on wind hold.
