I got them installed before my Smuggs trip about 2 weeks ago (raynaud's syndrome) I had it on setting 4 and it is luke warm at best, if you have one on and one off, you cant even really tell a difference....I brought it back to Sno Haus (Huntington NY) they are looking at it/testing it, even the guy there said it should be way hotter.....anyone have any experiences with these units?

????

How much volume do they take up in the boot. Do they tape to the bottom of your footbed?

Talk about cold feet...how'd you make it down the isle (assuming your married) ;-)

yeah...I don't think I could stand mine over setting #2 like I mentioned..it would have to be brutally cold...I didnt even need over 2 this past weekend at killington..

I also have an older model and can't really use mine above 2. My feet also tend to be pretty warm. I use them maybe 2 days a year (luckily I got them for free).

My wife, classic cold footed person, is very happy with them. If she's happy, I'm happy.

Very, Very, Very true statement ;) Foot happiness evolution has gone from the following scenario (whining/complaining after a run or 2 on old boots  Got her a pair of custom foamed Strolz boots to deal with her really weird shaped feet - major, major improvement in comfort, still a little female poor circulation issues though ;) Added a pair of the M4's, and no whining, happy feet  :snow: :daffy: :spread: I almost feel like the evolution of her boots/feet could be a VISA commercial, "new ski boots $$, boot heaters more $$, not having to listen to complaints on the lift rides, priceless!" ;)

The best investment that my wife and I have ever made. We can ski on the coldest days and never have cold feet. Now if I can just convince her to get contacts so she doesn't have to b#$@h about fogged glasses, my life will be complete!!

You shouldn't feel heat, just lack of cold. I know it doesn't sound right, but thats the way they work. Try turning off one boot and see if you can tell the differance between the two feet. If you run them to high, your feet actually get cold because they sweat.

In all honesty, it's likely not your hottronics, but the reynauds you have, with how much that can reduce the blood flow, you're already starting at such a circulatory disadvantage that even modern technology has trouble keeping up with it. Do you have as many coldness problems with your middle and pinky fingers too??
