How are the A41 refugees coping?

After some consideration I ended up picking up the Mount Snow classic pass for $400. I figure I'll use that for the quick ski trips. I'll look around for deals on other mountains. I'm hoping to hit Jay and Stowe a bit more this upcoming season. Of course, I'll make a few trips to Kmart to ski with the likes of Andyzee and company.

What are your plans?

I am waiting for ASC to announce what they are doing with Sugarloaf/Sunday River. If ASC does hold on to both resorts and offer a reciprocal pass we will be doing alot of our skiing in Maine. Other than that we will probably ski without a pass.

If K hasn't announced by the end of the month I'll be getting the Sneaux classic as well. Presumably I'll be able to work for a Magic pass again this year. All my eggs in S. VT :-o

I'll ask, but I'm already once removed form the source so it's not too likely.

I remember you telling me that. Don't kill yourself. I'm nursing a shoulder problem right now anyway. I had forgotten about that when I originally posted.

Bad year for buying. Not only did we lose the A41, but I lost my Burke College Program  So we are waiting to see what we can get. Plan is Pico/Killington it appears....

Still getting my Shawnee Peak pass and waiting to see what SR and possibly Sugarloaf put out for a pass deal. I'll miss the a41 because of the variety of choices. If that isn't afordable, It will be Shawnee Peak and possibly a few day tickets elsewhere.

I forgot about the college pass, Trailboss. Double wammy, that stinks. :-( You'll just have to become General Council for a resort now...Win...I got a solid guy for ya! :spread:

The Gore/Whiteface pass is tempting too. Its too bad it doesn't included Beleyare (also a NYS own resort). If it did it might steal me away from Killington.

Have to see where I will be living next year as well... wouldn't mind something at Mount Snow again, or Crotched.

Buying the Mt. Snow Classic Pass

Since I live 20 min from the base of Mt. Snow, I'll be buying two Mt. Snow Classic Passes today before the price rises:smile:. It looks like a good deal - fewer blackout dates than the bronze a41 pass had, and Peaks is already working on what they say will be substantial improvments to snowmaking and base facilities. We went canoeing on Somerset Reservoir yesterday and we were all drooling as we looked up at the North Face thinking about December...
