To further my cheapness wisdom, I'd like to discern how resorts and shops near and dear to this forum use the deal-of-the day portals (boston.com, livingsocial, groupon, yipit, vermontopia, etc.
The most obvious one was the week leading up to and after the Boston ski show, where nearly a dozen ticket/package deals appeared simultaneously on Boston.com. Now, the Globe a sponsor of the show must have organized this promotion.
I'd like to hear your observation of emerging trends like this. This helps us know where to scour the deals from year to year, seeing what persists, what was dropped, added. this helps discern sales trends.
As you must have guessed, I keep rather extensive lists of promotions, which is where I start each year.
I also know that Steep and Cheap seems to rotate non-selling items at the same price. Any trends there?
So what do you see as up and coming trends which may relate to our obsession?
