I figure 8 - 10, 2 or 3 of those will probably be skiing with my son on the easy trail at Hidden Valley though.
Is HV opening soon do you know? I'd go if they open this weekend, assuming they have a few open off the top.

I stopped by there today and asked and they said they were still deciding weather or not to open on Saturday, but if they do it will only be Chicken Delight. That's fine for skiing with my 5 year old son which is what I'll do if they are open on Saturday. It looked like they blew enough snow during the cold spell to open Chicken this weekend, and it should be snowmaking temps tonight and tomorrow night. Definately not enough snow there now for a summit to base trail, but if they open this weekend I'll be there Thursday and Friday too.
Mountain Creek's site says they'll open 12/13 and Mt. Peter plans to open 12/12. It looks like snowmaking temps in this area for at least the next ten nights with the exception of Tuesday.

+1A Men Brother!Man This thread has massive Jinks potentail. I'm not saying SH!*T.![]()
They always open Chicken first, I guess they figure it will get the families to come out who have the small kids waiting to ski. If we didn't have this past week of warm temps they would have definitely had a top to bottom run, there is snow all the way to the summit, just not enough.
MC's site says the park (South) is opening on the 8th but the rest is opening on the 13th, from what I saw driving past today South looks like it has almost enough snow on one trail but that's about it.
Yeah that's expected, MC usually opens to start the season with one run down South, they've been doing that for as long as I can remember. "The rest" will probably just be a snooze like Horizon on the vernon side anyway. If they opened on the 13th with Vernon and South, I would go to South anyway because the terrain on Vernon early in the year is usually horrible. A shame they don't get Granite going, but atleast South will be going Monday.
