This weather is crazy. It's been raining since Wednesday (today's Sunday), and it's supposed to rain until Wed or Thurs of this week. The weekend was a total washout and my golf game tomorrow will not happen - bummer cuz my company was paying for it.

How much rain have you gotten in your neck of the woods? Here in east/central Mass (between Worcester and Framingham), the TV weather geniuses are saying we've already received about 4.5". It feels like more. I guess it's a lot worse in ME and NH. Wells, Maine already reporting 9" already down and more coming ....GIMME SUN!!!!

Just got back from Home Depot getting some new rain gutters...lol

Heard the national weather alert on the radio and just south of me they have received 10" of rain in the 3 days. We got about 6". I could really see the line of nasty weather just south of Portland. I95 down there has a section flooded, lots of othe roads/bridges/dams having problems. Decent day today that's why I took the opportunity to get the gutters up but forcast to start raining again tomorrow.

Think I will head out with my camera.

This is frickin' nuts. We went to Manchester, NH today. They are forecasting 12-15 inches of RAIN. Routes 11/4 were closed by Andover, NH. We made it that far and then had to take 89. THAT road was getting close to flooding in some spots  Where 89 and 93 meets, that Kitchen appliance factory was flooded. Water everywhere.

And Ms. TB says, "what if this were all snow?" Wrong thing to say! :x

My guess is it won't rain now until September or something stupid like that.

Not too much here. About 2" Friday, and a half inch yesterday, and another half inch today. Between Tuesday and Thursday, we had an inch there as well. This storm is supposed to last until tomorrow morning, let up for a bit (albeit no sun), and then another one will come in tomorrow night through Tuesday afternoon. The sun should be back Wednesday, but we have scattered thunderstorms forecasted from Wednesday through the weekend for the afternoons.

This is a poorly done composite of 4 pics of the swollen Royal River in Yarmouth, Maine dumping into the ocean which is just beyond the bridge on the left. It's about 3 miles from me.

Hasnt rained all that much up here. We're on the fringe of it. In fact, up until this weekend, it's been fairy nice.
Drove down to the north shore yesterday and back today...holy moly. I havent seen rain like that in a long time. The brook behind my aunt's house was more like a river. It poored the 24 hours we were there & never let up.
Boss-probably saw ya on 89 today! Sun tried to break out in Leb....

Most of our rain fell Friday. We probably picked up a couple of inches. We were under a flood watch, but there are no advisories currently.

It did not rain at all this past weekend here in central Long Island, saturday was sunny and 70F, yesterday was just cloudy and cold.

So far we got about 2.5" of rain here last thursday/friday.

Right now it is pouring again and we are forecast to get 1-2" of rain through tuesday.
It is very dry in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and New Jersey is under a drought watch.:-o

Last May was cold and wet for nearly the entire month, we went from that to an extremely dry summer.

my parents in Waltham said 9" between late afternoon Friday and noon Sunday. I'm on the North Shore, smack in the middle of all the towns that are in serious condition. Somehow, we're not that bad. It's the only town around that had school today. One of the surrounding towns is 60% under water. Another town had sewer systems start flooding. Some of the highway rotaries up the street were under water.

We were away for the weekend, so we missed the brunt of it, but traveling in it was not fun. I did hear once this storm moves out, another one is coming up the coast for another 1-3" later this week.

oh, if anyone from the North Conway area is reading, I'm curious to know how things are up there. I know my basement in Intervale can take on some water. We got some during the big rains last July. I'm not as worried about my basement as I am the septic system.

Hmm, between this and austin's thread of awesome pics, i'm starting to have some thoughts. namely, look how clean new england is. I mean, most of the pictures have clear water, thats really amazing considering the potential to stir up garbage.

Kickstand- we're not that bad. The Saco didn't flood its banks here in Fryeburg. It is high for sure but not to bad. We definately lucked out.

I think they're saying we got about 7.5" as of last night here in Nashua.

Lowell is effectively shut down, as is Peabody and much of the North Shore.

excellent - as long as NCCC is still playable ;)

I had originally heard the mountains might get none of what we got (that would be 11.2" in my town as of this morning, worse in other spots), but the more I heard about Manchester, Hooksett, etc. and saw the Doppler maps, I was starting to get nervous. I could see getting 6-12" in my basement and destroying my heating system. I'm on relatively high ground, but after last summer I have to keep an eye on it. Good thing is, the water table was so low a lot of this probably got absorbed up there.

thanks, Terry......
