For the deep stuff I set my bindings back a notch... I have a Burton Fish(spoon nose board) that I ride in deep too..

I liked snowboarding until I rode powder... Then I loved it... It's what switch me completely over fora a decade...

Pretty psyched for the day..
I believe today will be a good day for untracked and general craziness..

I put most of my pressure on the back foot, I find it easier to turn in pow when my nose has less pressure on it (it's sort of the opposite of how I teach snowboarding though, no point in teaching powder riding on the east coast really). My Option Supercap is a stiff as hell freeride board, a 149, and the binding setups are permanantley set back, although I have it as close to centered as possible (it's maybe an inch set back as opposed to how it used to be, which was quite noticable).

Its in powder where turning snowboard is most similar to turning a longboard while surfing because the movements are a little slower and more fluid and with your weight centered towards the tail to keep yourself from pearling, There's nothing like rippin trail side drifts as if they are wave crests

I have seen so many skiers that also snowboard say that they will never put the skis on a powder day again. For me it is a cross between wakeboarding and long board surfing. Back foot pressure is key but it is also about feel and flow. Riding on hardpack is a technique; riding powder is all about a feeling.

Hey Dmc I also have a fish 54 but some days I just like the feel of that long tail of my BMC 62 and that feel of the tail bumpin off the trees. I actually got a canyon 54 and rode it in the woods once before I got the fish.
