My February was incredible.....because of the three great pow days at Killington right before Pres. Weekend.

And two decent days at Mountain Creek.

Looking forward to some spring skiing, although I hate that it means the season is ending soon.

My February was awesome. Got 7 days out of it and being a weekend only skier, that's a lot for me (2 Killington, 2 Sunapee, Burke, Sugarbush and Pico).

Skied Sunapee for free because I organized a group trip and they decided to comp me for the day of the trip AND for the next day (sweet!). Skiing Burke with the AZ crew was the highlight of the month -- great conditions (the weekend after the V-Day dump), great weather (sunny) and great company! The skiing was just as superb as the conversation at the bar -- and that's saying a lot. Cheers to thetrailboss, RIDEr, Andyzee, Koreshot and their respective significant others. Let's do it again soon!

Okay. I was out until the 18th with frostbite. After that I got 4 days. One day getting lost on Cardigan and skiing down a toboggan chute hiking trail, two sweet bump days with few untracked wood shots plus tramline at Cannon, and one day at Wawa with some super-duper extreme side-county skiing plus some bumps.

This has been the best Feb I have ever skied...Infact this looks to be the be the best year I have skied for a number of reason but mostly due to the amount of pow I have skied. More to come this weekend when I head to K for Sat and Sun:cool:

Looking like a good March coming up.

I'll add to the happy chorus: Very nice.
I hit Cannon on 2/16 to catch it still full puffed up after the 2/14 dump.
The week after (2/18 - 2/24) vacation time at Sugarloaf. I skipped couple of days in favor of XC due to seriously low temps and wicked winds on the mountain, but managed to log in 4 great days downhill.

It ended much better than it started. I was flat on my back for 2 weeks end of january and beginning of feb. I have been skiing again since the 17th though and have had some great days! I posted a personal best on the race course last night to end the month, and lots of snow tomorrow so March is looking good! Just saw the report- 10-15 inches for our area, 15-25 just to our north!! :snow:

Great Month, 10 good days on the hill at Mt Snow with 4 of them in good amounts of fresh snow!

And the biggest plus of them all, when's the last time we had an entire February WITHOUT a thaw/freeze cycle to screw the surface up! I suppose though that after what mother nature did to us basically from Mid-November through MLK weekend that it was the least she could do! ;)

relative to last year... LOUSY! but its only because I have 2 days (yikes) in this year, but thats my own fault and I am not complaining. I've been mountain biking down here in Jersey up until the first snow. I just couldn't get into the switchover to snowboarding due to the crazy weather)

Anyway, the only 2 days I did have were memorable:

2 days after the last "big storm" I hit greylock (my first time) and had a good run on good powder conditions. we were far from first but there was a LOT of powder left. I really enjoyed the skin up, and we'd probably have tried it twice if we got an earlier start on the first run. then again, happy hour at hunter was calling

the next day (3 days after the storm) i took a "locals" recommendation and skipped Hunter (which i normally would've hit) and hit PK instead. what a great bit of advice that was! I owe him a left one! PK had incredible conditions even after that many days after the storm. rode sweet soft powder bumps all day. didn't even yearn for the trees, even though they were in great shape.

next week is stowe week and the plan is to beat the snot out of my splitboard. i don't even want a lift ticket, thank you very much... hopefully march is going to be more memorable.

SIX days but compared to prior years this yr sucks . I usually get 10 -12 days in a normal feb. But on the plus side the six days were great conditions :D

I had a decent month, even though days were fewer than typical for Feb. Did a frozen, pre storm day at Jiminey Peak, and excellent day with my daughter at Plattekill, and more-fun-than-should be-had last weekend at Pico. I'm looking forward to March, which has become my favorite ski month.

this was a pretty solid month for me. I am still just getting back into skiing after a few years off cause of training year round for another sport. This is the most time out I have had in probably the last 8 years.

I have come to learn 3 things...
1) I can ski groomers
2) I suck in the bumps
3) I suck in this weird substance called "powder" which is only observed once a season in the east

so I know what I want to work on! plus I still really want to hit some gates in NASTAR. besides the fact I have no clue what I am doing (never raced before) but I like skiing fast so it should be a natural fit

I can definitely sympathize as far as sucking at bumps. I could always get down them fine but never felt right/good while doing it. This year I've been skiing bumps a lot more than I used to and things have started to click. I find that I can still get messed up once in a while but I can get in a groove and tear them up too. Lots of fun. Especially lately with the hero bumps we've had.
